Increase ball exit speed! The Power Bag does this in
three ways.
Visual feedback! The Power Bag can be spun 360 degrees. Unlike a tire, this visual feedback lets a hitter see the results of their swing and provides a physical goal. If a hitter has poor hip rotation, cast or swings around the ball, poor hand position (rolledwrist), bars the bottom arm or lunges at the target, the bag will not move or spin much. Use good point of contact hitting mechanics as taught by most institutional coaches and instructors, bingo! The bag goes higher or all the way around.

It also encourages players to use their hips and legs as a power source. By driving completely through the bag, hitters learn that initiating the swing with the legs and hips and continuing forcefully all the way through contact causes the bag to get maximum movement.
